Turkey Halts Energy Agreements with Israel

Turkey has suspended all energy agreements with Israel, a move that is expected to cause tensions between both countries, according to BNN Breaking.
This comes as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed his disappointment with Israel, claiming that their good intentions were exploited.
In September, President Erdoğan and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the UN General Assembly in September. The cessation comes in stark contrast to the two country’s agreement on joint energy drilling in the Eastern Mediterranean as well as the operation of energy transmission lines from Turkey to Europe.
The decision to suspend the agreement is expected to have consequences. Alparslan Bayraktar, Turkey’s Energy Minister, canceled his scheduled visit to Tel Aviv, further worsening bilateral relations.
